We are a group of enthusiastic filmmakers who execute all aspects of the vision of a narrative story, music video, corporate video, or advert, with creativity, passion, and excellence. Our team of talented visual wizards are here to bring a touch of playfulness, a dash of whimsy, and a sprinkle of movie magic to create cinematic experiences that leave audiences awe-struck and craving for more.
From concept to final export, from pre-production to production to post-production, we ensure that excellence and uniqueness shines through every frame. Jaco van Bosch
Jaco van Bosch moved to Johannesburg and completed his Honours degree (Motion Picture Medium) in 2017, majoring in Screenwriting and Directing at AFDA Johannesburg. In the years since he has self produced numerous short films with his company, Looped Pictures, co-written TV movies, directed commercials, documentary series and gained a lot of experience in post production for several feature films and TV series as an editor and sound designer.

Mark Haines
Mark Haines completed his Undergrad degree (Motion Picture Medium) in 2018, majoring in Editing where he graduated Cum Laude and on the Dean’s List. He is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker - a writer, director, editor, and colour grader. He has worked as a script supervisor on the NYU Student Academy Award winning film, ‘Umama’. He co-founded Looped Pictures in 2020. He has edited, written, and graded on multiple projects both for corporate clients and for channels such as kykNET and SABC 3.
Assistant Editor
Connor Weidemann
Connor Weidemann completed his Post Graduate Honours Degree in 2021 graduating Cum Laude and on the Deans List. Previously, Connor worked alongside several South African Sport streaming services as a Camera Operator, Vision Mixer and Director before joining the Looped Pictures team. Since joining, he has worked as an Editor on many corporate productions as well as for channels such as kykNET and SABC.

Kaylee Prentice
Kaylee Prentice completed her Honours degree from AFDA (Motion Picture Medium) in 2017, majoring in Producing where she graduated Cum Laude and was Honours Valedictorian. Prior to joining the Looped Pictures team, Kaylee has done extensive work on various projects. Her credits include the feature film Rogue starring Megan Fox, the Showmax series Funny People Africa, Dstv Box Office's A White Christmas 2 and Laugh at First Sight, and the feature film Shaft 6 starring Vuyo Dabula.
Film and Video Editor
Stephanie Kyriakou-Bouwer
Stephanie Kyriakou-Bouwer is also a AFDA Alumni with a bachelor’s degree in Motion Picture Medium majoring in Video editing where her 3rd year experimental film screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017. She has gained extensive video editing experience in the fashion world working with the Bokeh fashion film festival and Tv series, as well as in the wedding, e-learning and digital marketing industry. She is a film enthusiast and loves to tell stories through motion.
Sound Designer and Junior Video Editor
Sibonile jijwa
Sibonile Jijwa completed her Honours degree (Motion Picture Medium) at AFDA in 2022, majoring in Sound design which won best sound design for her feature film. She worked on Showmax film called A Zulu Christmas and a SABC 3 TV series called Behind The Funny as well as a various short films. Sound is her vocabulary and that how she tell stories.
Junior Editor and Camera Assistant
Joshua Gude
Joshua Gude matriculated in 2023. He didn’t take the traditional route of learning how to edit but instead is self-taught, having gained the interest back in 2020, during lockdown. Having a talent for acting as well as dancing, Josh has been featured in prior casting work, such as a social media campaign for Coke Studio in 2023. He is also a current trainee Music Director at CRC Church, having been trained in Live musical arrangements on Ableton. Josh aspires to be an all rounder in all things film, editing, videography and music.

Dimpho Thuhloane
Dimpho Thuhloane is an aspiring filmmaker and director who completed her undergraduate degree in Drama and Film Studies at the University of Pretoria in 2019. She furthered her studies by pursuing her Honours in the same field in 2020 and is now working towards her Master’s degree. Dimpho is deeply passionate about South African cinema, with a focus on advancing representation and diverse narratives within the film industry. Her creative journey includes a notable appearance on the popular soap opera Binnelanders, showcasing her versatility and talent, among other achievements
Creative Space Rental Liaison
Lydia Stander
Lydia Anne Stander, Creative Space Rental Liaison, brings creativity and expertise honed through diverse ventures in marketing, transportation, farming, property development, and a digital film platform. With a background in film production and advanced screenwriting, she has written and directed two award-winning short films and is eager to deepen her film industry experience. Passionate about storytelling, Lydia has earned international recognition for her films and screenwriting. She values collaboration, positive energy, and excellence, drawing inspiration from ethical and hardworking professionals. Beyond work, she enjoys exploring creative arts and seeking fresh inspiration.
